Fone Twigs

Venturefest were working with OxTreeGen this year to help offset your travel carbon footprint to and from the event by planting trees in Oxfordshire.

Fone Twigs is a campaign launched by OxTreeGen who are working towards creating new woodlands on sites throughout the UK. OxTreegen assist companies, individuals and organisation in understanding their impact on the environment and how they can work at reducing it. They are creating Living Legacy woodlands that will develop into mature woodlands helping to reduce Co2 in the atmosphere and provide woodlands for future generations to enjoy.

All the phones we receive will be recycled in accordance with government legislation for maximum impact. Even the phone bag you return to us will be re-used as a plant pot to plant new tree seeds for planting out next year.

How it worksed
People brought along their old, used phones to Venturefest in an envelope with their name and address on and dropped them in the Fone Twigs box at OxTreeGen’s stand in the main foyer, In November we’ll then plant a tree in Oxfordshire for each person and send them a certificate detailing their tree type, location and plot number.
