About the Wood Enterprise Awards
Recognising excellence in business and innovation
The Martin and Audrey Wood Enterprise Awards celebrate entrepreneurs and innovative companies.
The Awards were established by Oxford Innovation in honour of Sir Martin and Lady (Audrey) Wood, who co-founded Oxford Instruments plc in 1959 and continue to support start-up and growing companies.
This year the awards were held at Venturefest, with three finalists from each category exhibiting at the event and presenting to a panel of expert judges and an audience as part of the Venturefest programme.

Judges deliberated over the finalist presentations and decided on category winners and the winner of the overall winner of The Martin & Audrey Wood Enterprise Award for 2011. The award presentations took place during the drinks reception at the world famous Ashmolean Museum, in Oxford City Centre.
